The idea to create a place in the inner city where people could be welcomed to safely rest, be nourished and cared for. I had been working very hard over an extended period of time. Self care was imperative for my own well being and also for the wellbeing of the teams I was working with. We heal ourselves and then we can make our unique contributions to the world.

Recently, I have completed a 2 year course at the One Spirit Seminary https://www.facebook.com/1SpiritOrg in interspiritual ministry and spiritual companioning in New York. I have felt the call to actualize my dream of facilitating inclusive, loving community.

It is my very great pleasure to work with a team of skilled practitioners to create this.

My background has been studying Buddhadharma through the Wangapeka, supported primarily by Tarchin Hearn. I have a passion for finding new concepts and methods for exploring timeless wisdom through a contemporary lens. I feel that many of us are looking for alternative pathways for how to be with our lived experience, but don’t feel that there is support to explore this. I choose to give my energy to Cherish because I believe that this is a space that provides a diverse range of doorways for exploring these questions meaningfully. In terms of what I offer at Cherish, I like to respond to people’s questions. So please make contact with me, and what I offer will evolve based on what is asked.

I am a retired accountant and hospitality operator. I am passionate about gardening and bee keeping.

I walked through the doors of Cherish in a time of personal need and found so much support and love. I am now in a position where I can offer support back to Cherish and I am excited to be helping with strategic direction and financial management.

I am currently living near Barcelona and learning Spanish and meeting a new community of people. I am happy that I can still make a contribution to this wonderful community.

I am stepping into eldership and with this comes a lifetime of learning and experiencing. An early childhood teacher, massage and healing practitioner, a landscape designer and contractor, a celebrant and ordained interfaith minister, a dancer and an artist and kaitiaki of the earth.

I have more than 10 years of experience working in the body work industry and I am very passionate about the benefits of massage, not only the soothing of muscles but also the relaxation of the mind.

My aim is to relax and restore the body and I use both reiki and massage to help with this. I also practise lymphatic drainage which can be used to treat those that suffer from Oedema, chronic fatigue and tension headaches.

I have been working as a Pascha Therapist since 2008.  Pascha Therapy is heart and soul centred counselling and is really effective in support of many big life experiences – grief and loss, relationship stresses, pressures of school and teenage life, being a parent, being a solo parent.
